Tigers’ Sensational Season Ends in First Round of Playoffs

The Tigers’ sensational season concluded with a first round loss against Johns Hopkins University at Lewis C. Everett Stadium. Throughout the regular season, the Tigers went undefeated, took home four of the six major ODAC awards, placed 12 players on All-ODAC teams, and gave Tiger fans a season to remember.

Two road games in a row proved to be no test for the Tigers as they beat Sewanee 51-7 and opened up ODAC play with a win over Guilford 31-6. The past two weeks of play not only resulted in blowout wins but in the Tigers sweeping both weeks’ ODAC Player of the Week Honors as well. Running back Kirk Rohle and Defensive End Will Riggenbach swept the Offensive and Defensive POW Awards against Sewanee. Kirk Rohle continued his reign the next week against Guilford as Bill …

Football Tigers Thrill in Season Openers

The Tiger football team wasted no time in proving to everyone that they’re ready to make a run for the ODAC title this year. The home crowds at Lewis C. Everett Stadium were very pleased to see the Tigers prove their prowess as they blew out the Battling Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan by a score of 55-23 on September 5th, and then edged out the Bullets of Gettysburg College 46-43 in overtime the very next Saturday.

 The Hampden-Sydney Football Tigers will compete for their 2nd ODAC championship in the last 3 years this fall.
