The Hampden-Sydney tennis team has moved into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings for the first time this season and in recent memory, coming in at #23.  The Tigers are currently 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the ODAC.  The most notable win of the season so far was the Tigers’ victory over ODAC power Washington & Lee on March 19th.  At the time, the Generals were ranked #22 in the country.  Hampden-Sydney is now the conference’s highest ranked team, with W&L ranking one spot below them at #24.  The Tigers are the 5th-highest ranked team from the Atlantic South Region, although new regional rankings will not be announced until April 13th.  Hampden-Sydney will look to run their season-opening win streak to nine today as they take on the Wasps of Emory and Henry at 4:00 pm in Roanoke, VA.
